Mechanics & Moonlight Cycle Events

These are the events postponed from 22nd and 29th April 2013

If you are aged between 12 and 16, come and join us for a fun and informative cycle event on Wednesday 5th and Wednesday 12th June from 7pm til 9pm.

The first night is very hands on for you to learn how to look after your bike and fix any problems that might happen when you are out cycling, such as punctures, gears, brakes and annoying rattles! We’ll have lots of test bikes for you to work on as well as tools to use and share around. There will even be a freebie to take away at the end of the night!

We will also be showing you how to check your bike is safe and preparing it for the following week when we will take a guided off road trail through the woods (this will involve some B roads).

Both nights are based or start/finish at St Mark’s School in Cold Ash and will be run by CycleNow on behalf of Cold Ash Greening. The trail will be marked out in the local woods.

To join us on the night trail you must have attended the first session, have your own bike and cycle helmet. There is no charge for this event, just the hope that we can encourage the growth of a well informed, regular young cycling group in the area. For more information on this please email simon@cyclenow.co.uk. We will have some lights to loan out for the evening ride which will be fitted during the first session.

There will be adults supervising the trail but if parent(s) wish to accompany you just let us know.

Although there is no charge for this event, we do need to know numbers to arrange it and so could you please let us know if you plan to attend by going to the newly created

Cold Ash Cycle Club website and press the “registration” tab (this is developing so we welcome your ideas)

by Friday 31st April at the latest.

Hope to see you there............
